These policies apply to every Omofure International Limited employee, contractor and site, onshore and offshore.

Health, Safety and Environment Policy

We take a systematic approach to HSE management and implement a Health, Safety and Environment Management System that assures continual improvement in our HSE performance. We:

• Comply with all relevant legislation, regulations and agreements we have entered into.
• Set and measure targets for improvement, and appraise and report performance.
• Expect our staff to intervene if they believe an activity is unsafe or fails to meet our environmental standards.
• Require contractors to manage health, safety and environment in line with this policy.
• Include HSE performance in the appraisal of all staff and reward accordingly.
• Use our influence to promote this policy with those with whom we do business.

Commitment to health, safety and environment: pursuing the goal of no harm to people; protecting the environment by using raw materials and energy efficiently and minimising waste; consulting our stakeholders and publicly reporting on our performance; playing a leading role in promoting best practice in the industry; managing HSE matters to the same standards expected in other critical business activities; and promoting a culture in which all employees and clients actively demonstrate personal commitment to HSE. In this way we aim to have an HSE performance we can be proud of, to earn the confidence of our clients and society at large, and to be recognised as a good neighbour and partner in sustainable development.

Environmental Policy

We pursue no harm to the environment, and to achieve this we engage actively in waste management. We minimise de-stabilisation of the ecological set-up, and protect the environment by carefully handling dangerous chemicals and avoiding any spill of hazardous substances where our operations are carried out. Good housekeeping — regular inspection of work sites and workshops — is vigorously pursued. Every effort is made to ensure that any effect of our operations on the environment is well abated.

Alcohol and Drug Policy

It is an offence for any employee of Omofure International Limited to be under the influence of alcohol, or in possession of or under the influence of any non-prescription drug such as cocaine, amphetamine, marijuana, hashish or other illegal drugs, at our workplace. Being under the influence of performance-enhancing drugs or alcohol contravenes company policy and constitutes official misconduct, which will lead to immediate termination of the employee’s appointment.

The company does not allow the use, possession, exchange, distribution or sale of drugs or alcohol on company premises or sites, onshore and offshore. Drinking, storage and use of alcohol within the perimeter of our sites and locations is prohibited, and management will discipline employees and contractor staff who flout this policy.

Waste Management Policy

Omofure International Limited complies with Nigerian environmental laws for the handling, storage and shipping of products and spares that can generate hazardous waste. In all cases, the most stringent enforcement policy prevails.

Community Relations Policy

We regard our host communities as partners in progress and as indispensable to our operations, because activities can only thrive where peace and unity co-exist. To pursue mutually beneficial relations with host communities, we continuously assess and abate the social and economic impact of our business activities by taking the needed preventive action in an appropriate and timely manner, and we liaise with our clients’ representatives in handling any community issues that arise.

Quality Control and Quality Assurance

It is the policy of Omofure International Limited to provide our clients with products and services that conform to all specified requirements, in a timely and cost-effective manner. Quality is one of the most important means of achieving the objectives of our engagement.
